“Cocoon” shows a person hiding under a blanket with hands clasped tightly around the head. This piece delves into the intricate emotions surrounding shame. The rigid and unyielding nature of iron symbolizes the weight and enduring impact of these emotions. I aim to evoke a sense of introspection, inviting viewers to confront their own vulnerabilities.

"Memories" was inspired by the Me Too movement and intended to speak to my own personal experience and that of others with sexual harassment, gender inequality, and abuse of power. I aim to highlight the effect this violation has on the body.

In my sculpture, "Defeat", a figure embodies the silent struggle of longing and incompleteness. Hunched over in sadness, the figure's back yearns for the perfect fit, a nautilus shell-shaped void left unoccupied. Surrounding them, an array of shells, none fitting the silhouette of what's absent.

The hunched-over bust, with stairs ascending its back, embodies the weight of being walked on and used. The stooped posture conveys a sense of burden, while the ascending stairs symbolize the journey towards reclaiming one's self-worth. This piece explores the emotional toll of feeling exploited and the resilience required to rise above such experiences

“Mask” is an examination of the intricate veils we wear to shield our vulnerabilities from the world. Created with transparent resin and bronze, this piece represents the façades we construct to obscure our true feelings, often out of fear, societal expectations, or a desire for self-preservation.

“Chain” , coiling in an expansive spiral, is an exploration of the interconnectedness of existence and the perpetual cycle of life. Cast in iron, the chain symbolizes the unbreakable bonds that tie individuals, communities, and the natural world together. The spiral form, echoing the Fibonacci sequence found in nature, signifies growth, evolution, and the cyclical nature of life's experiences. The sheer scale of the piece invites viewers to physically and emotionally engage with the idea of continuity and interdependence.

This piece was a part of Form & Concepts show Guns to Art.
“Don’t Shoot” shows six different empty hands made of bronze, pointing like guns directly at the viewer. Empty hands perceived as weapons, twisted into images of violence and murder.
Empty hands have been made into excuses for the violence, societal damage, and disruption caused by those carrying actual guns. The actions of those actual guns have massive repercussions, from the traumas of their families and communities, to mass protests and general distrust from the public. We should not have to fear the people who are set to protect us.
